Accessibility and Features

Wheelchair Access

There are eight wheelchair spaces available in the main auditorium, 4 on the right of the stage in Block A and 4 on the left of the stage in Block C. If you prefer not to have to encounter any stairs on the way to your seat, please advise box office when booking.

The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall is accessible to wheelchair users via the Killermont Street entrance opposite the Buchanan Bus Station.

Visually Impaired

Our What’s On Guide to the Concert Hall is available in large print, braille, and on tape. Please call 0141 353 8000 to request a copy.

Guide Dogs

Please advise our box office when purchasing your ticket if you are bringing a guide dog. We will try to seat you in an area that is comfortable for both you and your dog.

Assistive Listening

There is an induction loop in the main auditorium to assist patrons who have hearing difficulties. By turning the hearing aid to the T position, sound will be picked up directly from the stage.

The Sennheiser infra red system operates in Terrace C of the main auditorium. Headsets are available from the cloakroom for a returnable deposit of £5, on a first come first served basis. However, patrons can reserve headsets in advance when booking tickets.

Disabled WC

There are 7 wheelchair accessible toilets situated on most levels of The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall with easy access.

Lifts

At the north entrance (Killermont Street) there are two lifts that lead to the main foyer, from here there is a lift at the cloakroom leading to the Strathclyde Suite and a lift in the main foyer leading to all seating areas for the Main Auditorium and the restaurant. Our lifts are fitted with voice announcement system and Braille.

Disabled Car Parking

There is a patron drop off point at the Killermont Street entrance. The Concert Square multi-storey car park is situated opposite the Concert Hall with vehicular access via Cowcaddens Road.

The Buchanan Galleries car park is adjacent to the Concert Hall and has won the Secured Car Park Award 4 times. Vehicular access is via Cathedral Street and Killermont Street.

Both car parks charge £1 for the evening after 6pm. Please note the Buchanan Galleries car park shuts at 11.30pm.

Telephones

There are wheelchair accessible public telephones in the foyers at both the north and south entrances to the Concert Hall.
